This system is built on the popular mid-sized F450 frame, with award wining APM 2.6 flight controller and controlled by a 2.4 GHz Turnigy 9ch radio system. Six (6) flight modes with IOC have been pre-programmed and tested. Fail safe feature ensures that if for any reason radio connection is lost with the drone, it flies safely back to where it was launched. This drone is based on the award-wining APM Project from 3D Robotics and arrives fully tuned and setup; It includes a pre-installed 6ch HobbyKing 2.4GHz radio system. Simply install the landing gear and propellers, charge the battery and fly. The read and white propellers shown in the picture and for demo purposes; the unit is shipped with black propellers. The wide landing gear allows for less-than-perfect landings without damaging the propellers or other parts - no need for the additional expense of prop guards. It's that easy. For more advanced users or as your skills progress, you can connect your custom built Quad to MAVLink compatible software such as Mission Planner or others, allowing access to a whole host of programming options including fourteen (14) selectable flight modes, GPS waypoint functionality, advanced tuning and much more!
The frame is equipped with bright LED lights, green on the front arms and red on the rear arms, making orientation easy in both day and night flying. Additionally, there are two status indicator LEDs at the rear which show the current status, such as GPS signal and arm/disarm. The unit is also equipped with an external Lipo battery alarm and monitor programmed to emit loud audible beeps when battery voltage is too low for safe flying.
